The Slovenian Medical Students’ International Committee Ljubljana (SloMSIC Ljubljana) as such and without anything else follows the protection of personal data; we respect privacy of persons, and process all personal data provided with due diligence and respect. Nevertheless, on 25/5/2018 the (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679 GDPR) comes into force that deals with processing of personal data of natural persons and sets up the rules for their processing.
In order to observe duly the Regulation, we are obliged to inform you of your rights in terms of personal data protection as well as of a provided personal data processing purpose.
Thus, what are your rights pursuant to the (EU) Regulation?

Access to your personal information is only allowed to a limited number of individuals including: The International Federation for Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) Team of Officials 2018/2019 and IFMSA National Member Organization (NMO) Presidents, and appointed OC members who work with registrations and visas, whose access is governed by both technical and administrative measures.
Which Personal Data do we process, what is the purpose of it, on what grounds, and how long do we keep them?
We process your personal information based on your consent in order to facilitate your registration for the IFMSA March Meeting 2019 and the Visa approval process. We collect general personal identification data and contact details, such as your first name, last name, and e-mail address, for the needs of the visa and registration process we also gather your ID/Passport data and in specific cases also visa information (if a visa is needed).
Personal identification data, contact, passport and visa information are collected and stored (processed) until 2 years after the meeting or your consent is canceled. After that time, we will permanently delete them.
As signatories of this consent, we inform you that at any time you can cancel the given consent with a written request sent to: SloMSIC Ljubljana, Korytkova 2, 1000 Ljubljana with the attribution: "GDPR" or by canceling it by forwarding the cancellation to the e-mail address: email@example.com.
Who do we forward your Personal Data to?
We do not transmit or disclose your personal data to third parties (outside of SloMSIC) except to those who have concluded a written contract with us and perform certain tasks related to data processing on the basis of that contract and they are obligated to follow the legislation on the processing and protection of personal data (the so-called Contractual Processors).

The Contractual Processors may process personal data only in compliance with our instructions and may not process them for their own purposes. They, as well as their employees, are committed to the protection of your personal data.
The Contractual Processors do not transmit personal data to third countries (outside of the European Economic Area – EU member states and Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein).
In conclusion, we ensure that all personal data are kept safely with us, and we handle it in the same way that we would like our personal data to be handled by others.
